Cloud Engineering Lead

Our client is looking for a Cloud SME to design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructures in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of cloud-based applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable and reliable cloud infrastructures on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Work closely with IT security to implement protective measures for cloud environments and applications.
• Build cloud-native solutions using Kubernetes, Docker and serverless technologies.
• Define and enforce cloud security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates.
• Continuously monitor, troubleshoot and optimize cloud systems for performance, cost efficiency and security.
• Respond to incidents and alerts, investigate root causes and apply effective remediation strategies.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support streamlined deployment processes.
• Design and oversee API platforms to enable integration and maintain best practices in API performance and governance.
• Develop disaster recovery plans, support vulnerability assessments and collaborate with teams to ensure agile and secure cloud operations.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience & Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering or related fields with proven experience in Cloud Engineering or Cloud Architecture roles.
• Well-versed in leading cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure – relevant cloud certifications highly preferred.
• Skilled in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experienced with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools and workflows including Jenkins, GitLab CI and Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in managing and operating API platforms.
• Strong scripting abilities in languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python and Terraform.
• Excellent at diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
• Possesses strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Effective at managing IT projects under tight deadlines.
