Responsibilities and Scope

KLA is seeking a motivated individual with a growth mindset for a Staff Algorithm Engineer position within the reticle product division (RAPID). The successful candidate will be a technical lead on algorithm solutions for advanced imaging systems used in mask inspection.

  1. Develop algorithms for image modeling and processing, from requirements gathering to productization.
  2. Become a subject matter expert in inspection algorithms for mask inspection.
  3. Identify technical bottlenecks and lead efforts to enhance product roadmaps.
  4. Collaborate with systems, optics, sensors, and HPC teams to optimize algorithms and system design.
  5. Work with team members to ensure technical rigor and agility, maintaining customer focus.

Preferred Qualifications & Attributes

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Applied Math, EE, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Significant experience in image processing within advanced imaging systems.
  • Expertise in computational imaging and high-performance computing.
  • Deep understanding of modeling imaging systems (optical or electron beam).
  • Proven track record in algorithm solutions using techniques like image processing, physics-based modeling, optimization, detection theory, machine learning, or deep learning.
  • Proficiency in C++ development and object-oriented programming.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate with 3+ years, Master’s with 6+ years, or Bachelor’s with 8+ years of related experience.
