Role
At Healthbook+, we’re building modern SaaS, Mobile, and AI/LLM systems that empower consumers and medical groups in our B2B2C (funded) startup. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in building features, collaborating across teams, and maintaining the health of our systems. Specifically, you will:

  • Contribute to agile delivery in a team that operates on USA working hours, with collaboration and handoff with colleagues in Eastern Europe.
  • Support troubleshooting and implement quick fixes during afternoon hours if production issues arise.
Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in building features, collaborating across teams, and maintaining the health of our systems. Specifically, you will:
  • Contribute to agile delivery in a team that operates on USA working hours, with collaboration and handoff with colleagues in Eastern Europe.
  • Support troubleshooting and implement quick fixes during afternoon hours if production issues arise.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven expertise in at least one of our core technologies: Python, Java, TypeScript/React, data pipelines, or LLM agent/event integration.
  • Strong generalist mindset—able to debug, troubleshoot, and fix issues across our tech stack.
  • Startup experience, with the ability to weigh trade-offs between speed-to-market and long-term quality.
  • Collaborative spirit. You bring a perspective, but you’re also aligned with team decisions.
  • Customer-centric and data-informed. We’re not just building things right—we’re building the right things.
  • Willingness to participate in a live, on-camera coding exercise during the interview process (language of your choice; refactoring task).
Nice To Have
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, compliance (e.g., HIPAA), and healthcare-specific technology challenges.
  • Experience with Mobile and React front-ends, Python and Java backends, pub/sub and event-driven architecture, and AI/LLM integration.
  • Ability to think in terms of now–next–someday when designing or evolving systems.
