Position Profile As a Senior Transit/Rail Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams on transit projects in Florida, focusing on planning, mentoring, and collaborating with the Florida Infrastructure Group. Knowledge of FTA, FRA, and FDOT regulations is essential.
A Day In The Life
- Strategic leadership in transportation planning, environmental analyses, and design reviews.
- Authoring reports and submissions to agencies, including NEPA analyses.
- Assisting with transit model evaluations, focusing on costs.
- Managing project submittals, compliance, and team coordination.
- Collaborating with government and transit authorities.
- Developing project scopes and estimating resources.
- Building client relationships and participating in meetings.
- Assessing project performance and identifying improvements.
- Engaging in diverse transit, freight, and passenger rail projects.
- Supporting business development through RFPs and marketing.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of transportation planning, federal regulations; proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Project management experience in transit/transportation studies.
- Familiarity with FTA, FRA, FDOT, T/MPOs, local government processes.
- Experience in public engagement, rail systems, environmental planning.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, capable of working independently or in teams.
- Willing to travel for meetings and projects.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s in civil engineering, planning, or related fields.
- At least 10 years of progressive transportation experience, especially in transit and rail.
- PE license in Florida or AICP is a plus.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000
