Optimoz is looking for a Senior Devops Engineer to setup and maintain AWS Cloud Infrastructure Automation, Kubernetes, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment of multiple applications. You will be creating and maintaining fully automated CI/CD processes for multiple environments, writing/ maintaining build and deployment scripts and helping to improve agility and quality of software delivery.

Responsibilities:

  1. Setup and support AWS Infrastructure automation utilizing AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, VPC, RDS, Cloudformation Templates, Cloudwatch.
  2. Setup and support container platforms such as Kubernetes, Openshift.
  3. Support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies, standards.
  4. Setup and support Devops policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance.
  5. Analyze software and infrastructure vulnerabilities to determine risk, impact and remediation strategies – drive remediation of defects through automation.
  6. Setup and maintain security compliance including client and server patching, endpoint protection, configuration management.
  7. Participate with the team lead in technical evaluations, solution and design approaches discussions.
  8. Deploy services/application to various environments including production.
  9. Participate in the Sprint Review and Retrospectives and maintain Sprint progress.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Ability to excel within an Agile environment.
  3. Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools such as Chef, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Java, Ruby.
  4. Solid experience with Kubernetes and AWS Cloud services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, ECS, EKS, Cloudformation Templates, Cloudwatch.
  5. Experience with systems level configuration management tools and creating automating infrastructure/code deployment and management – Chef preferred. Others Puppet, Ansible.
  6. Understanding of protocols such as SSL/TLS, CIFS, HTTP/S, DHCP, SMTP, LDAP/S, and DNS.
  7. Hands-on experience with Linux.
  8. Experience with Open Source Repository Manager – Sonatype Nexus.
  9. Experience with systems and IT operations.
  10. Confident in frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.
  11. Knowledgeable in networking concepts and services such as VPNs, IPSec, PKI and TCP/IP.
  12. Experienced in security directives, policies, publications and regulations including NIST Security Controls and FISMA.
  13. Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.
  14. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline.
  15. Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline or experience.
