Job Summary

RBC Capital Markets seeks a Vice President, Investment Banking in New York, NY to develop detailed financial models (including restructuring, financing, and M&A models). The role involves completing asset-level due diligence, participating in or conducting due diligence sessions, working with Analysts on financial models and pitch materials, conducting company research, and analyzing data to advise clients on M&A transactions and corporate finance offerings. The position also requires executing capital markets transactions, reviewing legal documents, completing Know Your Client procedures, and preparing committee memos.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5 years of experience in investment banking.
  • Experience must include capital markets, spreadsheet modeling (using Microsoft Excel), analysis at various prices, discounted cash flow, ability-to-pay analysis, accretion/dilution, leveraged buyout analysis, managing transaction processes, preparing pitches and marketing materials, conducting due diligence, and client communication.
  • Transactional experience in buy-side and sell-side mandates with public companies and fairness opinions.
  • At least 1 year of mentoring and staffing junior team members.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $275,000, excluding discretionary bonuses and benefits such as a 401(k) plan with company matching, health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, and paid time off.
