The Opportunity
We are seeking a Tax Senior Manager ready to advance to membership. You will lead diverse tax engagements, develop client relationships, mentor professionals, and contribute to our strategic growth. If you are an experienced CPA passionate about leadership and impactful work, and want to grow locally, this is your next move.
Responsibilities
- Review complex tax returns (corporate, individual, partnership)
- Lead tax planning, consulting, and compliance for a broad client base
- Research and resolve technical tax issues, especially multi-state
- Build and maintain strong client relationships based on trust and proactivity
- Mentor and lead team members, fostering a collaborative culture
- Contribute to firm initiatives and business development
- Participate in leadership to drive BMSS Huntsville success
Qualifications
- CPA license (active and in good standing in AL) — Required
- 10+ years of recent public accounting experience (tax-focused)
- Experience leading client engagements and managing staff
- Strong communication skills and proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Located in or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL
- Aspiring to become a Partner/Member in a supportive, established firm
