Senior Tax Manager

Location: Davis, CA

Salary Range: $150-200k

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and CPA-certified Tax Manager to join a firm committed to going beyond traditional accounting to deliver innovative and attentive services across many specializations.

What You'll Do

• Lead preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns across a varied client base
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and businesses
• Build and nurture trusted client relationships as their go-to tax expert
• Stay current with evolving tax laws to ensure compliance and optimize client outcomes
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their professional growth
• Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for firm expansion alongside partners

What We’re Looking For

• CPA required and Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
• 7+ years in public accounting with a focus on tax and a deep understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
• Proficient in tax software (e.g., ProSystem Engagement) and tax research tools.
• Leadership skills with proven experience in mentoring teams, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.
