Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our clients finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with 2-3 years of relevant experience, and preference will be given to candidates with an AA or Degree in Accounting. Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.
Vendor Relations: Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries, and maintain positive relationships
Expense Reports: Process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies and ensure compliance.
Recordkeeping: Maintain organized and accurate financial records, including filing and archiving of invoices and supporting documentation.
Payments: Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, in adherence to payment schedules.
Month-end Closing: Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, providing necessary reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: AA or Degree in Accounting preferred.
Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable roles.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
