Mokena CPA firm is looking for individuals that have experience in public accounting with a background in financial accounting and tax. This is a partner track position for the right candidate.
Our firm has been serving the Chicago land area for over 40 years. We are a growing firm that specializes in accounting, consulting and tax work for closely held companies and high net worth individuals. We are more than just a compliance orientated firm, we strive to offer the best tax planning and preparation services to our clients. We are looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated and self-motivated person to grow with our firm.
Position Description:

• Tax preparation and tax planning for S-Corps, Partnerships, Individuals and Trusts
• Provide strategic tax planning and compliance services
• Prepare compilations and reviews for privately held companies
• Mentor staff members and provide training on tax-related issues.
• Financial and tax consulting
• Manage jobs within time and budget constraints
• Unlimited growth potential
  

• Recent experience in public accounting, preferably in a small firm setting
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  

• Masters in Taxation, Masters in Accounting or Masters in Business Administration
• Excellent knowledge of tax rules and regulations
• Basic knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage, Lacerte or Creative Solutions
• CPA or eligible to sit for CPA exam
