Staff or Senior Accountant – Renewable Energy

$90,000–$120,000 base + 15–20% bonus + equity

Hybrid (3 days/week in office)

A fast-growing independent power producer (IPP) in the renewable energy space is looking for a Staff or Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an immediate need with strong long-term growth potential. The company recently expanded its development platform and is scaling quickly across clean energy assets.

You’ll be joining a high-performing, mission-driven team in a hybrid work environment (3 days in-office) and will gain hands-on experience across core accounting functions, audit, and investor reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations including AP, journal entries, and accruals
• Support month-end close and maintain intercompany and consolidated accounts
• Prepare audit support, tax documentation, and investor materials
• Assist with compliance filings and process improvements
• Ensure accurate application of U.S. GAAP across reporting functions

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–3 years of experience in accounting (renewable energy or IPP experience required)
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP
• Audit experience (public accounting or internal audit)
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Motivated, adaptable, and passionate about sustainability

Bonus Points For:

• CPA or CPA-track
• Experience in public accounting (Big 4 a plus, but not required)
• Background in renewable energy finance or accounting at an IPP
• Familiarity with internal controls, investor reporting, and consolidations
