Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $200,000 to $250,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities

Lead the organization’s financial strategy, planning, and long-term sustainability efforts.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting functions.
Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and capital planning.
Present financial reports and insights to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee.

Requirements

At least 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with 5+ years in a nonprofit setting.
Strong understanding of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and fund management practices.
Experience managing relationships with auditors, banks, and investment advisors.
Proven ability to lead and develop finance and accounting teams.
Demonstrated success in supporting mission-driven organizations through financial stewardship.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with a collaborative approach.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in complex financial environments.
Effective communicator with the ability to convey financial information to diverse audiences.
Deep commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit sector.
