Fort Point Capital Partners - Investment Associate

Founded in 2008, Fort Point is an SEC-registered investment adviser that provides tailored investment solutions to individuals, wealth advisory firms, family offices, and institutions with clients under management of approximately $2 billion.

Fort Point is hiring an Investment Associate for our San Francisco office to support all functions of our Investment Team. As an Investment Associate, you will focus on supporting the team with trading, research and analysis, and due diligence across private alternative asset strategies (Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, Venture Capital, etc.) . As an Investment Associate, you will also work with the broader team to support investment efforts across a variety of strategies and asset classes.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio management: assist with directed trading and portfolio rebalancing (i.e., tax loss harvesting, cash management, strategy changes/implementation, etc.)
• Portfolio analysis: model current and prospective clients' portfolios against our firm's strategies; create asset allocation proposals.
• Assist advisors in building and designing presentations that include portfolio analytics, market research, and financial planning assumptions
• Performance analysis and research: create ad-hoc performance analyses and research of securities (stocks, ETFs, Treasuries, etc.), private investment opportunities, the firm’s active private funds, underlying managers, and related benchmarks.
• Marketing: design, create and manage the firm’s client letters, factsheets, pitchbooks and presentations using Adobe InDesign.
• Employ robust quantitative and qualitative skills with an eye for design on various business development and marketing products.

·Update various private investment returns and statistics using portfolio management software.

Qualifications

• You are interested in learning about the Investment Advisory business and various private alternative investments.
• Strong project and time management skills, with ability to set, maintain, and adjust priorities in a multi-task environment.
• Ability to operate with a keen sense of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn software quickly.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Morningstar, and/or Bloomberg is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Progression towards CFA or CAIA program a plus
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in banking, wealth management, or related financial services.
