Job Description
The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for providing seamless operations and superior service to financial aid applicants, their families, and members of the university community. As a highly visible representative of Marshall University, the Director establishes procedures and guidelines for the effective and efficient distribution of financial aid among applicants and enrolled students, while meeting the institution’s enrollment, budget, and net tuition revenue goals. Additional responsibilities within student services may be assigned, based on skills and experience.
The Director oversees and administers an annual financial aid program comprising institutional funds, Title IV aid, and State grants and loans to a diverse student population, including Undergraduates, Graduates, PhD, and professional students. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth operation of the Student Financial Assistance team, staff training, staying current with Federal, State, and Institutional regulations, engaging students in the Financial Aid process, and assisting with aid leveraging and retention plans. The estimated start date for this position is on or after July 1, 2024.
