As Vice President in the Investment Banking division, you will play a senior leadership role in originating and executing strategic M&A transactions across the power, energy transition, and infrastructure sectors in North America. You will collaborate closely with National’s Credit Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets teams to identify and deliver financing solutions to our clients. This is a senior-level position that grants you the opportunity to showcase your comprehensive industry expertise and highlight a deep understanding of relevant products and services. The ideal candidate is well-regarded within the industry, with a high degree of sector focus. Additionally, they have demonstrated experience as a trusted advisor to industry participants. Your Job As an Investment Banking Vice President, the individual will actively participate in a wide variety of transactions headed by senior members of the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure (“PU&I”) Investment Banking team and will be expected to have a strong understanding of the industry sector as part of their responsibilities. The individual will have a number of responsibilities which include the following:
- Marketing, executing and structuring investment banking mandates focused on M&A, other strategic advisory, project financings, and capital markets transactions;
- Managing the preparation of presentations and other client materials for clients;
- Overseeing the building of, and maintaining complex financial/valuation models;
- Coordinating company and industry research;
- Managing several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team;
- Providing mentorship, oversight and guidance to Associates and Analysts; and
- Participating in the recruitment, development and training of junior team members.
- Minimum of five years of relevant investment banking or M&A experience;
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or a field related to the sector of activity;
- Relevant experience and prior client relationships in the power, utilities, and infrastructure sectors;
- Strong technical skills in financial modeling and analytical problem-solving;
- Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders;
- FINRA Series 7, 63, 79 preferred; MBA, CPA, or CFA considered assets;
- Ability to work on-site in the New York City office at least 4 days a week;
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
The salary range for this role is $225,000 - $250,000
The amounts indicated in this job offer are in U.S. dollars.
