Job Summary:
The Senior Tax Manager collaborates closely with partners, staff, and clients, overseeing planning, management, review, and execution of client engagements. We seek a motivated leader who will become an integral part of our firm and lead in the office.
Our professionals aim to help clients minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with evolving tax laws. Services include consulting on stock options, international tax, and advising on investments, mergers, reorganizations, and liquidations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts
- Stay updated on tax law changes, advising clients accordingly
- Lead tax engagements from planning to delivery, including budgeting and fee monitoring
- Develop strong client relationships through exceptional service and understanding their needs
- Collaborate with team members to integrate practice development and client service
- Lead client meetings and presentations, clearly communicating tax concepts
- Monitor engagement profitability through budget and expectation management
- Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposals
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Accounting
- Active CPA license
- 8+ years of Passthrough Tax experience in public accounting
- Expertise in tax compliance and consulting for passthrough entities
- Experience with partnership and S-corp tax returns (Form 1065, 1120S)
- Knowledge of multi-state filings and nexus considerations
- Proven ability to oversee complex client engagements
- Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and MS Office
- Ability to develop tax planning strategies
- Experience supervising and developing staff
