THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Data Center Officer, you will oversee all design development and be fully responsible for construction activities, processes, and personnel. Your charter is to lead partners in engineering and design of mission-critical data center sites and spaces while leading internal and external teams in construction delivery and operational commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead a strong organization for geographically dispersed expansion
• Design best-in-class, cost-effective data centers incorporating renewable energy and sustainability practices
• Create strategic relationships with vendors, contractors, and trades to enable safe, rapid delivery at advantaged costs
• Build programs and standards where they currently don't exist

Business & Personnel Leadership

• Implement programs for safety, process improvement, and business continuity
• Establish KPIs using external benchmarks for internal and outsourced teams
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Excellence in Planning & Execution

• Optimize sustainable data center construction performance across the portfolio
• Orchestrate relationships with contractors, trade partners, and equipment suppliers
• Negotiate and drive optimal procurement for all construction requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• 15+ years' experience in design or construction of large-scale mission-critical facilities with 5+ years specifically in data centers
• Proven track record of delivering engineering and construction on schedule and budget
• Demonstrated command of the design-build process including engineers, contractors, suppliers, labor, safety, and public authorities
• Growth-oriented commercial disposition with innovative thought leadership
• Understanding of P&L, resource allocation, and technology utilization driving efficiencies
• Experience in data center real estate investment with requirements for investor returns
• History of leading geographically dispersed teams consistently performing at/above plan

THE PACKAGE

• Compensation: Industry Leading
• Travel: 25-50%, primarily to project sites
