Sr. Hardware System Engineer

Description

In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams such as mechanical, controls, AIML, and embedded FW engineers to realize sensor system designs.Responsibilities include: drive system level sensor specification definition, system architecture and tradeoff analysis, close collaboration with cross-functional teams across hardware and software.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or MS in electrical engineering or similar field
• 8+ years of hands-on perception and sensor system design experience
• Experience selecting and integrating electronics and sensors in novel architectures
• Strong multi-domain engineering analytical skills
• Experience developing system architecture, sensor systems analysis, and modeling
• Strong fundamentals in sensors and the impact of impairments on sensor performance
• Exceptional HW/SW problem solving skills
• Detail oriented and capable of handling multiple assignments at once

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in electrical engineering or similar field
• Experience leading teams through product development cycle from concept development to production bring up
• Large scale data analysis and knowledge of statistical techniques
• Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $212,000 and $386,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
