Job Description-
Nature & Scope:

  • Evaluates utility systems and prepares long-range cost and usage studies. Schedules and coordinates projects with customers, maintenance teams, construction personnel, and contractors.
  • Oversees and approves work performed by contractors to ensure adherence to specifications, construction codes, and schedules. Performs final inspections and recommends invoice approvals.

Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of general principals, theories, and concepts of engineering. Has working knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, building met practices, and techniques as related to Facility Engineering.
Problem Complexity: Provides creative and innovative solutions to difficult engineering problems in the area of electrical and mechanical and other Facility projects requiring substantial analytical skills. Exercises reasonable judgement and solves difficult problems. Able to establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships with others in accomplishing projects.
Work Direction and Latitude: Work is performed with moderate direction. Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Exercises considerable latitude in originating new ideas or methods to improve the job or to complete assigned tasks. Assignments may be self-initiated.
Project/Program Responsibility: Coordinates resources, prioritizes activities, and establishes schedules to complete assignments. Ensures that plans are consistent with budgets and overall work group objectives. Exercises leadership and commitment to quality and the quality process on projects. Communicates project/program status in a timely manner to appropriate personnel.
Liaison: Frequent inter-organizational and/or outside contacts. May represent the organization in meetings with governmental and public utility authorities that relate to construction codes, safety orders, OSHA, environmental
and utility services. Represents the department with regard to technical issues.
Business Contribution: Work results in achievement of project objectives or in major contributions to achievement of company or department objectives or internal customer requirements through new or refined facilities, equipment, materials, procedures, processes, and/or manufacturing methods .
Minimum Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • Technical Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in facility engineering, manufacturing, or relevant industry such as oil, gas, or power generation.
  • Project Management: Experience managing projects from initiation to completion.
  • Problem Solving: High energy, urgency, and strong technical judgment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
