Role Overview

The Senior FinOps Technical Account Manager (TAM) is crucial in ensuring customer success with CloudBolt’s FinOps Platform. You will guide organizations through onboarding, implementation, and ongoing use, helping them configure cost allocation, chargeback, automation policies, and reporting to meet their financial goals.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will engage with customers regularly, providing training, best practices, and insights to deliver long-term value. You will also contribute to FinOps thought leadership and stay current with multi-cloud financial management practices. This role is ideal for someone experienced in FinOps, cloud cost management, and automation, eager to shape the future of FinOps for enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

  1. Technical Account Management (60%)
    • Guide customer onboarding and platform adoption to meet financial management goals.
    • Assist in leveraging CloudBolt’s features for cost transparency and allocation.
    • Help implement automation rules, budgets, and optimization policies.
    • Enable custom reporting and insights into cloud spending and forecasting.
    • Provide ongoing training and best practices to maximize platform value.
    • Maintain regular contact with customers via site visits, calls, and web conferences.
  2. Research & Skills Development (20%)
    • Share expertise in FinOps internally and externally.
  3. Pre-Sales Support (20%)
    • Support pre-sales efforts with customer insights and proof-of-concept deployments.
    • Coordinate with pre-sales teams for smooth customer onboarding and long-term success.

Requirements

  • Experience in FinOps or related consultancy roles (2+ years).
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional (preferred).
  • AWS and/or Azure foundational certifications (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of public cloud cost reports (AWS CUR, Azure Cost Management, etc.) (2+ years).
  • Strong experience with at least two major CSPs (AWS, Azure, GCP) (3+ years).
  • Hands-on experience with FinOps tools and manual FinOps tasks.
  • Self-motivated, capable of multitasking.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering skills.
  • Quick learner of new technologies.
  • Willing to travel up to 20%.

Location

100% remote, US Eastern time zone preferred.

Additional Skills

  • Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
  • Experience with MSP Cloud Billing, Azure CSP, AWS SPP.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure automation.
