Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Learning Engineer in Poway, CA. The Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence Solutions Software group develops and deploys end-to-end autonomous systems for unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and communicate insights/algorithms of limited scope.
2. Use machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to improve product/system performance, quality, data management, and accuracy.
3. Translate algorithms and technical specifications into code using programming languages and technologies.
4. Complete programming, testing, debugging, documentation, and procedures for installation and maintenance.
5. Apply deep learning technologies for visualization, learning, and response to situations.
6. Lead technical teams and scope projects into executable sprints.
7. Drive code reviews and adhere to DevSecOps and MLOps practices.
8. Adapt machine learning to areas like virtual reality, augmented reality, AI, robotics, etc.
9. Interface with external vendors and partners for technology integration.
10. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
11. Perform other duties as assigned, observing all laws and safety procedures.

Job Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field and two+ years of machine learning experience or equivalent.
2. Understanding of machine learning concepts and principles.
3. Experience in developing scalable software architectures and optimizing AI models for edge processing.
4. Strong coding skills in Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Python.
5. Experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
7. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary range: $98,100 - $171,398
