Job Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 base plus annual discretionary bonus
Overview:
A global firm is seeking a Systems Engineer to manage and enhance its hybrid infrastructure. This role involves supporting compute, storage, and networking systems across on-prem and cloud environments, with a strong focus on automation and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage global infrastructure on premise and in cloud compute, storage and network environments.
• Automate routine tasks and build self-service tools
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize systems
• Lead infrastructure deployments and maintenance to ensure reliable and resilient systems.
• Collaborating across teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure outages and issues.
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3-5 years of infrastructure management experience with strong expertise in Linux and Windows systems administration
• Strong scripting expertise in Python or Powershell, Bash exposure is nice to have.
• Proficient in Linux/Windows, virtualization (VMware/AHV), and networking
• Cloud experience (preferably AWS)
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong communications skills, and experience working within a fast paced and highly collaborative environment.
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Certifications (Linux, Windows, AWS, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Citrix and enterprise storage solutions
  
  

This role must sit out of the firms Chicago office working in person 5 days a week.
