This role can be based in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Austin, Boston, New York, or Washington, D.C.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Data Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of the firm’s data-driven applications and reporting systems. This role will be responsible for validating data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics solutions that support business operations. The Senior QA Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data quality best practices, proactively identify and resolve data issues, and uphold the highest standards of data integrity and compliance.
- Responsible for testing the front end of applications/platforms.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across data sources, data warehouse, and BI tools.
- Develop and maintain automated data validation tests using SQL and scripting languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into test cases and quality checks.
- Monitor data quality metrics and proactively identify and resolve anomalies or issues.
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data governance and compliance standards are met.
- Perform regression testing on data models, dashboards, and reports following updates or deployments.
- Troubleshoot and optimize data validation processes and queries for performance and scalability.
- Support end-user testing and training for BI and reporting solutions.
- Document QA processes, test cases, and results to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in QA or data quality engineering, with a focus on data analytics and BI environments.
- Proven experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Redshift).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience working with data visualization and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
- Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
- Familiarity with data validation frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt tests) is a plus.
- Proven experience working with Elite 3E data is a big plus.

- Strong interactive skills and the ability to succeed in a teamwork environment demonstrating reliability, dependability and flexibility is essential.
- Ability to keep confidential any information, observations or viewpoints regarding all sensitive information and Firm business matters.
- Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.

Where required by law, salary ranges are stated below. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications. New York, San Francisco, Palo Alto salary range: $140k to $195k
Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Washington, D.C. salary range: $133k to $186k
Denver salary range: $125k to $174k
