- Perform SCADA system installations, testing, and commissioning for electrical utility and industrial projects.
- Configure SCADA platforms (e.g., GE iFix, Wonderware, Ignition, Siemens, ABB) and integrate field devices such as RTUs, PLCs, HMIs, IEDs, and protection relays.
- perform site inspections, equipment verification, and point-to-point testing.
- Develop and review SCADA system design documents, data maps, and interface specifications.
- Troubleshoot SCADA communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, etc.) and resolve connectivity or performance issues.
- Support SCADA system upgrades, maintenance, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Provide site training and technical support to end-users and stakeholders.
- Maintain thorough and accurate project documentation and testing records.
- Coordinate with engineering staff and stakeholders to ensure SCADA systems meet operational, safety, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience working with SCADA systems, RTUs, PLCs, and communication protocols.
- Strong knowledge of SCADA platforms, industrial communication protocols, and electrical protection and control.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA commissioning, configuration, and site testing.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and best practices for SCADA and ICS environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Willingness to travel to site as required.
