Location: Baltimore, MD | Schedule: Full Time (35 hours/week) | Reports to: VP of Development & Marketing

The League for People with Disabilities—a proud two-time Top Workplace awardee—is looking for a Director of Major Gifts to help us take our fundraising efforts to new heights!
About The Role
As our Director of Major Gifts, you’ll spearhead The League’s major gift and planned giving programs, leading efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward transformative gifts that power our mission. You’ll work closely with our VP, Development & Marketing, executive leadership, and board members to launch long-term fundraising initiatives including a capital and endowment campaign.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and grow a comprehensive major gifts strategy to meet and exceed annual fundraising goals
- Build and manage a dynamic portfolio of major donors and prospects
- Launch and grow The League’s Legacy Society and planned giving program
- Develop compelling cases for support and work closely with leadership to steward major donors
- Collaborate across departments and with our Communications Manager to create inspiring donor materials
- Support broader development initiatives including events and grant writing
- Has a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of progressive fundraising experience
- Brings a proven track record in major gift cultivation and capital campaign planning
- Communicates with authenticity and confidence, and connects meaningfully with diverse stakeholders
- Is detail-oriented with database experience (Donor Perfect is a plus!)
- Believes deeply in inclusion, equity, and The League’s mission to support individuals with disabilities
