Enterprise Solutions Engineer

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Solutions Engineer for a well-established legal firm in Chicago. This individual will play a key role in implementing and supporting off-the-shelf and custom software solutions that align with business needs. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with strong technical expertise and an interest in process improvement.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and clarify project and technical requirements.
Lead architecture and design decisions, ensuring system integration with existing platforms and alignment with long-term IT strategy.
Oversee implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business operations and driving operational efficiency.
Create and present documentation such as mockups, workflows, and diagrams to support solution evaluation and implementation.
Develop and support solutions involving databases (primarily MSSQL) and workflows, working primarily on a Mac platform.
Partner with internal stakeholders to test, train, and roll out new technology features and services.
Act as an advocate for technological solutions across the organization, increasing awareness and usage.
Follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and document systems/processes in tools like Confluence.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in business analysis, computer science, or project management. Legal industry experience preferred.
Hands-on experience managing complex software and systems projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong skills in MSSQL, including writing and troubleshooting SQL queries, stored procedures, and working with normalized databases.
Experience in cloud-based environments, and comfort working on Mac systems in a hybrid IT setup.
Familiarity with SharePoint Online, Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate); experience with scripting tools like PowerShell is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
