Role Description

Chan + Punzalan is seeking a litigation attorney with at least 5 years of extensive experience in complex civil or business-related litigation in federal and state courts. The attorney will handle all aspects of the firm’s civil litigation practice, with a particular focus in disputes involving commercial matters, founder disagreements, trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement, and trademark disputes. The attorney’s responsibilities will also include:

• Working with a team of attorneys and legal staff (litigation) on case strategy, caseload management, hearing and trial preparation, client communication and legal research/writing.
• Appearing at court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Communicating with clients and opposing counsel.
• Drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of litigation experience
• Proficiency in drafting and filing Motions
• Familiarity with Courts and trial procedures
• Experience with Trials and courtroom representation
• Experience in conducting Depositions
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
