Latitude is seeking an attorney with 2+ years of legal experience for an exciting contract engagement with the Latin America legal department of a global public company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for commercial contracts and litigation support to the dispute resolution team. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable in-house experience with a major company client. Spanish fluency is a must. This is an on-site position in Miami from Monday through Thursday. Prior experience working at a full-service law firm, a sophisticated boutique firm, or in-house with a mid-to-large size company is strongly preferred.
Requirements of the In-House Counsel – LATAM (On-Site, Miami):
- 2+ years of litigation and/or commercial contracts experience
- Prior experience working at a full-service law firm, a sophisticated boutique firm, or in-house with a mid-to-large size company
- Excellent academic credentials
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the U.S. or a Latin American country
- Fluency in Spanish is a must
- Outstanding references
- Type of role: Contract Engagement
- Duration: 3-6 months, or potentially longer
- Schedule: Full-time (Monday through Thursday)
- Location: On-site in Miami
Pay: The annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $100,000 to $130,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract roles is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: Latitude contract professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
