Job Summary:
HED is a company focused on enterprise data solutions, and they are seeking a Strategic Data Solutions Lead to define and drive the technical vision for their data ecosystem. This role involves leading the implementation of a scalable data architecture and ensuring systems are aligned with business needs for insights and analytics.
Responsibilities:
• Define enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap, including data lakehouse, warehousing, and medallion data models.
• Evaluate and oversee the implementation of enterprise-scale tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Purview, and Azure Synapse.
• Lead integration of structured and unstructured data sources from internal tools, platforms, and third-party systems.
• Develop governance and stewardship practices that ensure data quality, lineage, privacy, and security.
• Partner with AI, analytics, and development teams to deliver scalable platforms for reporting, modeling, and intelligent automation.
• Guide system integration and engineering efforts across Power Platform, Azure services, and HED’s proprietary applications.
• Translate business and technical requirements into system architecture and development plans.
• Mentor developers, analysts, and platform specialists in best practices related to data architecture and infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, platform engineering, or enterprise systems.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure ecosystem, Databricks, data lakehouse patterns, and Power Platform integration.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, security models, and metadata management using tools like Microsoft Purview.
• Experience managing data infrastructure and development projects in a cross-functional environment.
• Exceptional technical documentation, communication, and system design skills.
