Finance Business Partner - Manager
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Finance Business Partner to join our client and drive strategic financial decision-making across our profit centres. This role acts as a key liaison between the finance function and operational/commercial teams, providing insights that influence business performance and support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate closely with commercial and operational teams to understand business drivers and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management by translating financial performance into actionable business strategies.
- Participate in management control activities and contribute to the formulation of business action plans.
Performance & Financial Analysis
- Review and analyse the operating performance of business units and subsidiaries.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor profitability, cost control, working capital efficiency, and other key performance indicators.
- Identify opportunities for margin improvement, cost efficiencies, and process enhancements.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with clear business explanations and recommendations.
Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and internal reporting in line with Group policies.
- Coordinate with subsidiaries to ensure compliance with internal control standards and reporting requirements.
- Oversee the identification and reporting of financial risks, including material misstatements and value leakage.
Risk Management & Controls
- Uphold the integrity of financial reporting by ensuring Group financial control policies are effectively implemented across all business units.
- Support internal audit processes and contribute to the development of risk mitigation plans.
Ad-Hoc Projects
- Drive and support financial initiatives and ad-hoc projects that contribute to business transformation, performance improvement, or regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. ACCA, CPA, or CIMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial planning & analysis, controlling, or business partnering roles.
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
- Proficient in financial modelling, data analysis, and dashboard creation (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across functions.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-focused.
- Willing to travel
