Pay Information $2,308 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Typical MedSurg population experience, including conditions such as chest pain, COPD, altered mental status, pneumonia, UTI, and abdominal pain. Description: This position is for a stepdown unit. The unit consists of a mixed bed setup, with designated stepdown and floor beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios include 1:3 for stepdown and 1:4-6 for floor beds. Registered Nurses will be required to titrate drips in the stepdown area. Common drips in use include titratable and set rate drips. There is a charge nurse available per unit, along with a house supervisor present at all times. The nursing staff will work with an established team of nurse aides when fully staffed. Respiratory therapists will provide equipment support including vents and CPAP/BiPAP devices. The facility is equipped with telemetry monitoring, and RNs must be proficient in reading telemetry strips. Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on weekends. Holiday schedules will align with the permanent staff holiday calendar. Nurses may be required to float to other units as needed. Dress code includes royal blue scrubs.
