Positions Available: 3 Overview:
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a Med-Surg/Telemetry/PCU night shift travel assignment in a small, critical access hospital in Vermont. This is an adaptive acuity unit — nurses must be prepared to provide both med-surg and step-down care, including management of drips, with ratios up to 3:1 for PCU patients. Ideal candidates are adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable floating to any inpatient unit within their scope of practice. Responsibilities: Deliver safe, effective nursing care to a mix of med-surg, telemetry, and PCU patients. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage drips, and provide PCU-level interventions as required. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress. Float to other inpatient units within scope when needed. Requirements: Active, unencumbered Vermont RN license (or Compact License). Minimum 2 years of recent med-surg/telemetry experience (Required). PCU and drip experience (Required). ICU experience (Preferred). At least 3 months of prior travel nursing experience (Required, more preferred). ACLS and BLS certifications (Required). Must have own vehicle (public transportation not available). Flexible with weekend and holiday coverage — must work at least two major holiday blocks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year). All requested time off must be submitted at application (max 5 days). Additional Information: Small, rural critical access facility. Block scheduling not available. Holiday coverage and floating required. Benefits: Competitive weekly pay package.
