Join Our Team as a Tech - Cath Lab/EP
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab/EP Technologist to join our dynamic team. As a Tech - Cath Lab/EP, you will play a critical role in supporting our cardiothecic team, providing high-quality patient care, and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular program. You will work closely with our physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes. Required Skills
- 2 years of recent cath lab tech experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Experience with coronary stent interventions, neuro angiograms/interventions, vascular endograph/peripheral vascular angiograms/interventions, pacemaker implants/device cases, and other cardiac procedures
- Proficient with sterile technique, radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection
- Proficient with EPIC, CUPID, and GE MAC Lab/Cardio Lab reporting systems
Nice to Have Skills
- AHA EP certification
- Experience with electrophysiology devices (Pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorder, etc.) insertion/removal
- Experience with left/right Heart caths/PCI (rotablader, shockwave), pericardiocentesis, intra-aortic balloon pump/impella insertion/removal, and PFO/ASD closure
- Experience with electrophysiology ablations (preferred)
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., radiologic technology, medical technology)
- 2 years of experience working in a cath lab/EP environment
Other Requirements
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including 4-10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotation of call every 3-4th weekend, and 1 night of call per week
- Ability to float to other units/departments as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain any required licenses and certifications
