Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)
Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per schedule period

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a dynamic role in a Progressive Care/Stepdown Unit. This position requires a clinician proficient in managing critically ill patients who require advanced cardiac, neurological, and post-surgical monitoring, with the ability to float to med-surg units as needed.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU or Stepdown/PCU experience.
- Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS are required. PALS is preferred.
- Travel Policy: No local candidates within a 100-mile radius. First-time travelers are accepted.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced care for critically ill patients requiring continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, including management of ventilators, vasoactive drips, and complex respiratory support.
- Manage specialized cardiac equipment and support devices, such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), Impella devices, and pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz) catheters.
- Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and manage patients with external ventricular drains (EVDs) and those requiring acute stroke care.
- Administer and titrate a wide range of high-risk IV medications, including sedatives, paralytics, vasopressors, and insulin protocols.
- Provide continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT/CVVHD) and manage patients with acute and chronic renal failure.
- Actively participate in clinical education by supporting and mentoring nursing students within the clinical setting.
- Float to med-surg units when needed to provide patient care based on facility census.

- Patient Ratio: 1:2 (Nurse to Patient)
- Patient Age Group: Adults.
- Typical Diagnoses: Multi-system organ failure, post-operative surgical care, complex cardiac and neurological conditions.
- Care Environment: A 38-bed unit equipped with advanced technology for critical care, including equipment for cardiac support, neuro monitoring, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
