Job Description & Requirements
~ Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
~ Discipline: RN
~ Start Date: 09/14/2025
~ Duration: 13 weeks
~36 hours per week
~ Shift: 12 hours, days
~ Employment Type: Travel
Hiring: RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
(13 weeks)
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12 hrs (36 hrs/week)
Schedule: Every other weekend, holidays as needed
On-Call: No
Requirements:
~ Active RN license (CT)
~2+ years recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
~2+ years Telemetry experience
~ Previous travel and charge nurse experience preferred
~ Current ACLS , BLS , and NIHSS certifications
~ EPIC EMR experience
Unit Details:
~ Unit: WBH E3 PCU EXP
~25 beds total (9 PCU level beds)
~ Dual level of care (Telemetry & PCU)
~ Primary Stroke Center
~ Ratios: Floor – 1:5-6 | PCU – 1:3
~ Common cases: Chest pain, stroke, respiratory failure, sepsis
Meal Break: 30 minutes
