What will you be doing?
Operating at the intersection of supply chain, operations, and customer success, the Logistics Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods from suppliers to customers. This role is essential to optimizing logistics processes, minimizing costs, and enabling timely product delivery. The successful candidate will coordinate closely with sales, operations, and external partners to support business objectives through efficient logistics execution.
The position involves day-to-day management of shipping and receiving, inventory monitoring, documentation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. With a focus on data-driven decision-making, this role is central to driving continuous improvement in logistics performance while maintaining compliance and operational integrity.
This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain and Operation and does not have direct or indirect reports. Internal collaboration is frequent with the sales and operations teams, while external engagement includes suppliers, vendors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Coordinating and monitoring end-to-end supply chain operations including transportation, inventory, and customer order fulfillment
- Managing relationships with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to support logistics strategies
- Preparing and maintaining accurate shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, customs paperwork)
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities through logistics analysis and process optimization
- Collaborating with sales and operations teams to align logistics with broader business priorities
- Troubleshooting delivery issues, damaged goods, or delays to ensure minimal operational disruption
- Tracking and analysing logistics KPIs and trends to inform planning and decision-making
- Supporting compliance with industry regulations and best practices in shipping and inventory management
- Maintaining and managing company demonstration equipment logistics
The ideal candidate brings a practical understanding of logistics and supply chain management, backed by hands-on experience and a proactive mindset. This individual thrives in fast-paced environments where priorities shift rapidly and problem-solving is constant.
- Holds a bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred). Equivalent experience also accepted.
- Brings at least 2 years of relevant logistics or supply chain experience
- Demonstrates strong familiarity with logistics systems and software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and ERP Systems.
- Possesses excellent communication and negotiation skills across internal and external stakeholders
- Excels in analytical thinking, especially when managing costs and solving operational issues
- Works comfortably in cross-functional teams and maintains a high level of accountability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable lifting 50+ pounds and working in a physically active and dynamic environment
