- We are seeking an experienced Staff or Senior Accountant for a 4-month contract assignment with a global leader in the live entertainment industry. This role is based in Los Angeles (Westwood) and offers a hybrid schedule (MonThu in-office, Fri remote). Youll be at the financial core of large-scale, high-profile tours and eventssupporting everything from artist settlements to global tour accounting.
About The Role
- We are seeking an experienced Staff or Senior Accountant for a 4-month contract assignment with a global leader in the live entertainment industry. This role is based in Los Angeles (Westwood) and offers a hybrid schedule (MonThu in-office, Fri remote). Youll be at the financial core of large-scale, high-profile tours and eventssupporting everything from artist settlements to global tour accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger oversight for tours and events.
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and expense reporting.
- Track tour budgets vs. actuals; prepare variance reports and deliver insights to management and artist representatives.
- Collaborate with tour managers and finance leadership to streamline financial processes.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable; manage cash flow for specific tours.
- Assist in audit preparation, tax compliance, and maintaining internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Staff Accountant: 24 years of general ledger accounting experience.
- Senior Accountant: 46+ years of relevant experience.
- Background in live events, music, entertainment, or media accounting preferred.
- Proficient with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Enthusiasm for the music and entertainment industry is a plus.
