Job Summary: Plenful is on a mission to transform healthcare operations with their AI workflow automation platform. They are seeking a Backend Engineer with expertise in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering to build reliable and scalable systems that optimize their platform for growth and performance. Responsibilities: • Design & refine alerting systems to detect anomalies and performance bottlenecks. • Define observability standards focused on reliability, latency, and customer impact. • Investigate performance issues across infrastructure, application, and database layers. • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, efficient, and stable deployments. • Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform for scalable, resilient environments. • Optimize data systems (e.g., Postgres, OpenSearch) for performance and integrity. • Ensure high availability through incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements. • Support security & compliance tasks such as patching, audits, and vulnerability management. • Participate in on-call rotations to respond to and resolve production incidents swiftly. Qualifications: Required: • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, DevOps, or SRE. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, containers, and related services. • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Postgres, OpenSearch). • Proficient in Python; skilled in scripting and backend service development. • Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform). • Strong grasp of CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native applications. • Skilled in observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch). • Proven track record of building and operating end-to-end systems; focused on uptime and reliability. • Solid understanding of networking, security, and scalable system design. • Experience using LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor). • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Preferred: • Startup and/or healthcare tech experience is a plus. Company: Plenful is a no-code workflow automation and AI platform that optimizes healthcare's manual, administrative workflows.
