Core Technical Skills:
Linux Administration:
Demonstrated experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading Linux systems and servers.
Expertise in Linux OS administration across Ubuntu, CentOS, and RedHat.
Strong knowledge in Linux server support, troubleshooting, and storage implementation.
Proven experience in risk-based systems running on UNIX/Linux platforms, including OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization.
Hands-on experience with day-to-day UNIX/Linux OS installation, migration, and break-fix support.
Cloud & Virtualization:
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Ability to deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-based Linux environments.
Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
Support and manage VMware 6.5/6.7 cluster environments.
Automation & Scripting:
Design and implement infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation to enable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC
Develop shell, Python, or PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks, system monitoring, backups, and patch management
Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of Linux-based cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for system updates, configuration changes, and cloud deployments using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
Monitor system health and performance through automated alerting, logging, and reporting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or AWS CloudWatch.
Networking & Security:
Basic network troubleshooting skills: DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Trunking, Firewalls.
Experience implementing IAM, security groups, network ACLs, and VPNs in a cloud environment.
Familiarity with cloud security best practices, patching, and compliance (CIS benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001
Storage & Infrastructure Management:
Managing and maintaining NAS/SAN infrastructure.
Experience with cloud-based storage solutions (S3, EBS, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage
Performance tuning and optimization of storage and compute resources.
Windows Administration (Nice to Have):
Active Directory administration, including GPO management, Event Log Auditing.
Experience in Windows Server management (2012/2016/2019/2022
Apply Windows patches, remediate vulnerabilities, and troubleshoot updates.
