Job Description

This position's purpose is to create and support 3rd party applications for the University including Interfolio, Elements, WordPress, and others as needed.

Responsibilities

Modifies and implements third party software solutions of high complexity. Builds interfaces/integrations between various software packages and/or applications. Analyzes business processes and prioritizes user development requirements to achieve maximum efficiency in software for projects committed. Develops technical documentation of development projects. Performs moderate- to-advanced-level problem analysis and debugging on software applications. Accomplishes these development activities systems with a significant level of independence. Communicates with functional team members and users to gather requirements and convey progress on tasks to facilitate an iterative application development life cycle. Researches, trains, and leads new technology initiatives as requested. Coaches and collaborates with other programming staff on development techniques and practices. Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of third-party software experience In lieu of a degree, 6 years of experience will be accepted Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment visa status.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

3 years of relevant experience with third-party software administration Higher education experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Knowledge of specific computing languages, IDEs/platforms, such as:

Interfolio Elements WordPress

Knowledge of testing frameworks Strong UI Design skills Knowledge of specific relational databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or mySQL API/Integration experience SOAP/REST API experience Utilize appropriate visualization and presentation tools, such as Visio or Powerpoint Work Location:

Location: Knoxville, TN Kingston Pike Building Hybrid: 1 day per week in office, 4 at home. Compensation and Benefits:
