Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position is focused on the Mission Critical market sector and requires significant project leadership experience in this field. The role involves leading and directing project teams across all aspects of professional services, maintaining liaison with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction. Responsibilities include overseeing project activities, client and contract requirements, project planning, staffing, and ensuring quality and profit goals are met.
TYPICAL DUTIES
Assist the Principal-in-Charge with proposals and negotiations of Owner/Architect Agreements.
Lead all project phases from programming to construction administration, in accordance with contractual requirements.
Coordinate project planning, monitoring, and execution to meet scope, schedule, and budget targets.
Manage project interfaces with stakeholders and ensure compliance with all requirements.
Develop and oversee project schedules, staffing, and discipline hour budgets.
Gather data for specifications, bidding, and contract documentation.
Coordinate design reviews and quality assurance processes.
Manage bidding and construction administration phases.
Participate in marketing, client maintenance, proposals, and interviews.
Support post-construction evaluations as needed.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
Professional Licensure.
LEED Accreditation.
Minimum of ten years' experience with significant Mission Critical projects and comprehensive knowledge of all project phases.
Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination.
Leadership, communication, organizational, and motivational skills.
Ability to work under deadlines, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible.
Strong business acumen and professional maturity.
Excellent interpersonal skills for various settings.
Proficiency with computer applications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Travel to project sites as needed.
Access to existing and new project sites for observation and evaluation.
Use of office equipment for communication and documentation.
Visual acuity for responsibilities.
