Required 18044 •Experience supporting the design phase and engineering major components for large-scale energy storage projects (8+ years); •Travel 25% of the time for project specific duties; •Active Driver License
18072 •Proven engineering experience (5+ years) •Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program; •Active Driver License
Preferred 18044 •Experience with Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction experience (3+ years); •Experience with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters; •Experience with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730; •Professional Engineering certification.
18072 •Experience and knowledge of construction methods, including foundations, trenching, electrical terminations and testing, and best safety practices •Experience with technologies in energy storage including varying battery chemistries, power conversion units and DC-DC converters; •Experience with interconnection studies and GIA material modification adjustment (MMA) processes, particularly in WECC and CAISO •Construction permitting and contracting experience
Both roles: •Experience with Lithium-ion battery storage safety: Familiarity with UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections ;| •Experience with one or more of these areas ( An SME in substation or utility scale energy storage design and/or project management) : Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design;
Responsibilities •Plan, design, and execute various energy storage projects. •Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects. •Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts. •Support projects from inception to completion by working closely with project managers. •Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment. •Work with diverse teams to solve problems, improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls. •Stay updated on project progress and technical issues. •Manage project milestones and recognize risks.
