The DON ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care to individuals recovering from acquired brain injuries and associated impairments, including stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injury (SCI). The role demands a leader with expertise in neurorehabilitation, operational efficiency, staff development, and regulatory compliance. This position will work closely with the leaders in other areas for program and policy development and service delivery models. The Nurse Director will also work closely with Business Development to support Moody's Mission of being an industry expert in brain injury by developing and providing education to the community. This position will also support research and publication relationships between Moody and the industry. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Current RN license in Texas (BSN required; MSN or healthcare-related Master's preferred). Minimum 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience; neuro rehab, acute rehab, or long-term care experience strongly preferred. Certification in rehabilitation nursing (CRRN) or neuroscience nursing (CNRN) preferred. Deep understanding of neurological disorders, post-acute rehab, and interdisciplinary care models. Proven leadership, team building, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills. Requires flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities. Frequent interaction with patients, family members, and clinical staff in a hospital setting.
