Per Diem Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team! This NP or PA will primarily support our Urgent Care center located at 1285 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA. We have other Urgent Care locations in Boston Common, Newton, Natick, Westwood, Woburn, and Lynn, in which the NP/PA can pick up shifts, based on availability. Our Urgent Care Centers serve as a convenient and affordable urgent care option for those living and working in the Greater Boston area. Our qualified, friendly health care providers treat adults and children (age 3 and up). From coughs and colds to cuts and broken bones, our providers offer great care for a range of illnesses and injuries in clean, modern centers. We know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our clinics are open seven days a week from 9:00am to 9:00pm. Most visits last less than an hour, so our patients can get back to what matters. Schedule Expectations: Our per-diem Advanced Practice Providers are expected to work at least (2) 12-hour shifts per month, one of which needs to be on a weekend. Job Summary
The Physician Assistant (PA)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The PA/NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program with a Master's degree required Licenses and Credentials: Current Massachusetts state license as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required Experience: Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public. Additional Job Details (if applicable)
1+ year of experience in Urgent Care or emergency department preferred 1+ year of clinical experience that includes the care of pediatric patients (3 years and older) preferred Prior experience in procedures including suturing and splinting preferred Prior experience in reading diagnostic studies, including x-rays and EKGs, preferred Prior experience treating workers' compensation cases preferred Prior experience treating occupational health cases preferred Remote Type
