Job Title: Medical AssemblerJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Medical Assembler where you will work in a cleanroom environment, participating in the crucial process of creating medical components. You will start in the coiling department, handling winding machines and working with metal coils that contribute to products like stints and catheters. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to adapt to different assembly processes over time.ResponsibilitiesOperate coil winding machines to wrap metal around spindles for medical assemblies.Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes approximately 30-50% of the day.Sit or stand for extended periods, adapting to different tasks as needed.Use small hand tools, such as tweezers and pliers, for assembly processes.Inspect and deburr parts in the molding area, ensuring components are smooth and free of excess materials.Work in multiple lines of the CEA assembly area, utilizing microscopes to assemble specific medical components.Operate laser welding machines with high attention to detail and hand dexterity.Handle automated presses and stamping machines in the implantable housings area.Work off written work instructions to ensure precision and accuracy.Essential Skills4-6+ months of medical manufacturing experience or small part experience.Experience working with microscopes, especially in a cleanroom environment.Proficiency in assembly processes such as catheter, laser welding, and coil winding.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical inclination, especially in the housings area.Ability to adapt and be versatile as cross-training is provided.Experience in tasks requiring hand dexterity, such as sewing.Why Work Here?Our facility offers a supportive and diverse work environment with opportunities for skill development in medical device manufacturing. Some roles may involve working in a non-cleanroom area, which is slightly louder and may have an oil smell. Flexibility to sit or stand as required is necessary, and safety attire such as eye protection and steel-toed shoe covers are mandated. The workplace is inclusive, allowing for cultural attire like hijabs, provided safety protocols are followed.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.78/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
