Senior Financial Analyst
Join the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) finance team supporting the Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Services Business (CDS). The Senior Financial Analyst will support the CDS Research & Development and Clinical organizations by collaborating closely with key business leaders: VP of Research & Development, R&D Core Team Leaders and the Sr Director of Clinical. In this role, you will work collaboratively to ensure sound financial projections and accounting of pipeline innovation, strategic initiatives, and serve as a voice for the finance organization. The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform and analyze financial models, project accounting, budget management (expense and capital), participation in cross functional teams, and engagement in forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Plan. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Partner with the Core Team Leaders on all aspects of financial management & overall R&D portfolio management, including core team support & business case development/ financial modeling, project prioritization, resource allocation, expense management and capital planning Serve as the primary finance partner to the Clinical team, supporting cost center and project management, adhoc financial analysis and business case development Coordinate CDS R&D functional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, including preparing and presenting monthly/quarterly month-end close meetings. Prepare analysis and presentations, including presenting in Core Team meetings, PRC and leadership meetings such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) Financial and analytical support of strategic planning to ensure pipeline objectives are reasonable and align with market expectations Develop and maintain various financial models and report on the impact of project timeline shifts Drive efficiency/improvement of related finance processes in support of the organization Perform additional financial analysis for special projects upon request Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 2+ years) Nice to Have Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting Strong Accounting background and understanding of capital policies Practical knowledge of project management/accounting Exhibits a collaborative, motivated and curious attitude and approach to duties Manages assigned projects with a cross-functional mindset and is driven to deliver outputs in a timely manner Works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to solutions Contributes to the completion of work group objectives, through building relationships and consensus to reach agreements Critical thinking to drive efficiencies and enhance performance, in-depth analysis and recommendations Communicates confidently and effectively within a matrixed organizational structure Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
