Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist

Location: Fully Remote Employment Type: Contract (6 Months) Industry: Insurance Must Haves: AP/AR and Workday experience About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AP/AR Specialist to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This fully remote role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting operations, particularly in the insurance industry, who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth financial operations Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in AP/AR roles, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely Strong communication and interpersonal skills Contract Details: Duration: 6 months Schedule: Full-time, MondayFriday Location: 100% Remote (U.S. based candidates only) Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $30.28/hr.
