The Quality Specialist will identify problems with workmanship or process damage while ensuring the quality of produced assemblies by physical and visual inspection to verify characteristic against predetermined specifications, drawings, or standards and communicate those issues with external and internal customers. Essential Functions: Works from blueprints, customer drawings, engineering change notices, military standards, and established operating procedures to determine acceptance, rejection or rework requirements of assembled units or supplier components

Communicate effectivity via verbal and written forms to external and internal customers about inspection issues and schedules

Conducts visual inspections with high level of accuracy to verify physical properties

Ensures the build and test manufacturing process has been completed

Proactively communicates errors and systemic trends to the quality organization

Enters data into software tools

Final Inspection and Receiving Inspection

Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment required that includes high customer service experience. Experience in Mechanical inspection and in First Article Inspection. Proficiently interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models that utilize GD&T to understand design intent and define inspection requirements.

Knowledge: Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Skills/Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills; Competence to perform inspections using surface plates, calipers, thread gages, scales, micro-hite; General PC skills, including Word, Excel and Oracle; Ability to interpret drawings and part specifications; Accurate color vision and depth perception; Vision corrected to 20/20; Ability to work in a team oriented environment, including interfacing with Order Management, Internal Quality Engineers, Customers and other Internal Management personnel

Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent required

Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with AS9100 standards

Familiar with AS9102 First Article Requirements

Experience with CMM

Electrical inspection IPC-610

Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes

Involves handling parts in compliance with Electrostatic Discharge Devices (ESD procedures)

Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs. Salary range:
