Heat Treat Operator
A manufacturer located in the Eastern Indianapolis region is seeking multiple General Laborers for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role involves operating various furnaces, managing product loading and unloading, and ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities
Operate various furnaces and adjust temperatures based on part runs. Push and pull boxes of product weighing 50 pounds. Load and unload product to and from the furnace repetitively. Use quality instruments to ensure parts meet quality specifications. Utilize shot blasting equipment to finish products after furnace treatment. Weigh product and package per customer specifications. Ensure proper documentation of materials, batch numbers, and other relevant information. Maintain ability to withstand heat and stand on feet for 8 to 12 hours at a time. Essential Skills
Experience in general production and materials handling. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently. Furnace operation skills. Heat treatment knowledge. General labor skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to withstand heat for extended periods. Capability to lift 50+ pounds consistently. At least 1 year of work experience in similar roles. Why Work Here?

This role is based in a 1 million square foot facility, where the environment is hot, dirty, and oily. Candidates need to be comfortable in such conditions. The training process is extensive, spanning approximately four months on the 1st shift, with hands-on machinery training and lectures. Work hours include the 2nd shift from 2:30PM to 11:00PM Monday through Friday, and the 3rd shift from 10:30PM to 7:00AM Sunday through Thursday, with overtime as needed. Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr.
