Shipping/Receiving Associate

This role involves a combination of maintaining material flow on production lines and managing the loading and unloading of trucks for shipping and receiving. The employee will operate a fork truck, assisting throughout the plant by transporting formed metal from the roll forming area to the secondary/utility area and vice versa. Additionally, the role includes loading finished materials into the warehouse and onto trucks. Responsibilities

Ensure lines are stocked with necessary materials. Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving. Transport materials to and from work cells, move racks, and empty hoppers. Assist with setting up, loading, and unloading parts from the production line. Utilize hand tools to load/unload parts. Pack finished goods for shipping. Document and control inventory accurately using computer systems. Process necessary paperwork for shipping and receiving. Essential Skills

Experience with sit-down forklift operation. Proficiency in handling materials, including loading and unloading. Experience in shipping and receiving operations. Strong computer skills for inventory control and documentation. Ability to process bills of lading and work orders. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Industrial or manufacturing experience is preferred. Proficiency with RF scanners and data entry. Experience with cycle counts and inventory control. Why Work Here?

The position is based in a manufacturing setting that experiences varying temperatures, both hot and cold, though it is not excessively dirty. The management maintains a laid-back approach as long as employees fulfill their responsibilities. The facility focuses on forming metal from flat-rolled steel, primarily serving the agricultural equipment industry, including international harvester tractors. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, Kentucky. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
